The following articles were written by Dr. David C. Innes.
  • What is a Fundamentalist Christian?
"A fundamentalist is one who believes and obeys everything that is clearly taught in the Scriptures. All that is clearly taught, whether for belief or conduct, is fundamental and therefore essential to the Christian faith."

  • How Then, Can I Decide What is Right for Me?
"Every Christian is faced with situations about which he must make decisions, but about which there seem to be no clear scriptural statement. Many of the issues we face are not addressed or identified in the Bible by name. How then, can I know what to do when faced with such questions?"  Read more . . .

  • Basic Axioms
"These 17 basic axioms (self-evident truths) are at the foundation of Christian fundamentalism and formulate Dr. Innes' outline in his series entitled, 'What is a Fundamentalist?'"  Hear the messages and see the accompanying outlines, charts and definitions here.

  • What Do Your Clothes Say About You?
"In a most unique experiment, John T. Malloy, author of Dress for Success, panhandled money around the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Grand Central Station in New York City. His approach was to stop people and say that he was terribly embarrassed, but he had left his wallet at home and needed 75 cents to get home. He did this for two hours during the rush hour. During the first hour he wore a suit, but no tie; for the second hour he wore the same suit, but added a necktie. In the first hour he made $7.23, but in the second, with his tie on he made $26.00, and one man even gave him extra money to buy a newspaper."  Read this most requested article now.

  • A Christian View on Gay Marriage
"Marriage is not a civil right! Neither the federal nor the state constitutions confer such a status upon it. Marriage is a privilege granted and conferred by legislative bodies for specific reasons, including its impact on society. Special legal protections and favors have rightly been given to heterosexual, monogamous marriage because, unlike other kind of human friendship or relationship, it has been considered to be uniquely necessary and uniquely beneficial to the perpetuation and well-being of society."
    A must read!

  • The Riots: September 19, 1993
"The following events took place on Sunday evening, September 19, 1993, revolving around the regularly scheduled 6:00 PM Sunday Evening Worship Service of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, 1212 Geary St., San Francisco, California. Reverend Lou Sheldon, of the Traditional Values Coalition, was invited by the church to be the guest speaker."

  • The Riots: November 21, 1993
"Report Update on the September 19, 1993 Riot at Hamilton Square Baptist Church"

  • The Riots: A Member's Perspective
". . .The protest was not a peaceful one, and quickly became violent. People were assaulted as they tried to attend the service that night; the building and property were defaced, the American flag flying over the church was cut down and the “lambda flag” was raised, and the police refused to respond to our call for assistance. Finally, as the doors of the sanctuary were about to be battered down by this angry mob, our call to 9-1-1 forced the city’s riot police to come and restore order."
